URBAN GARDENING – Project meetings and next steps
In the last months the development of the URBAN GARDENING project has shown an intensive effort carried out by the project partners linked to a positive reaction of the community members involved.
“URBAN GARDENING – The Urban Gardening Role in Improving of Adults’ Skills and Community Growth” is a Key Action 2 Strategic Partnership – Development of Innovation in the field of Adult Education – co-funded with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme.
The Kick-off meeting took place in Krakow (Poland) on 28-29 November 2017. The II Steering Committee meeting was in Istanbul (Turkey) on 11th February 2018. The main aim of the meetings has been a general orientation of the project work plan and a specification about the training “How to use the garden space to improve social and communication skills”.
Between 7-11 May 2018, 22 people from 7 organizations constituting URBAN GARDENING partnership, gathered in Czajowice (near Krakow, in Poland) on the joint staff training. Five days of intensive work on the URBAN GARDENING training, 20 training sessions, study visits, international evenings, spontaneous peer learning in Ojcowski National Park and social events has been part of the in-depth program carried out.
The next meeting will be in Enna (Italy) the 23rd of June. In the III Steering Committee meeting it will be deepened the development of the session
presented in the training course in Poland and further inputs it will be offered regarding the entire project management and implementation.
