The month of July 2016 has to be considered as a crucial moment for the implementation of the project “Sustain your life through social entrepreneurship” an Erasmus + KA2 Startegic partnership project, managed by PRISM.
To be more specific, two important steps of the above-mentioned project have been implemented on July 2016, The first Training Course and the second transnational project meeting.
The Training Course: “Project Management: Turning needs into social Start-Ups” has been implemented in Caltanissetta from 6th to 10th of July. The Training Course , implemented by PRISM, involved 28 youth workers coming from the 6 different countries involved in the project (Italy, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Holland and Lithuania) and it equipped participants with project management competencies and tools that are necessary to build a sustainable social enterprise. The Training was focused on all phases of the project cycle management linked to a holistic approach for nonviolent community development. Through a non-formal, intercultural and creative learning process, the combination of study visits of local social enterprises, the testimony of local entrepreneurs operating in the social field and group work (both practical and theoretical) allowed to transfer to participants the knowledge and practical tools to start up social business, that offer innovative solutions to identified local community’ s needs.
In order to share the results of this first Training Course (2 more TCs will follow in the coming months in the Nederlands and in Portugal) with the other partners of the project, consisting of the following organisations: Società Consortile Rocca di Cerere (Italy), Consulta Europa Projects And Innovation (Spain), Stichting Hogeschool Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Asociatia Dominou (Romania), Freguesia de Cascais e Estoril (Portugal), Vilniaus Kolegija (Lithuania), an international project meeting (the second transnational project meeting) took place in Las Palmas, Canary Islands (Spain) on 14th-15th of July, just few days after the end of the first Training course. The main focus of the transnational meeting was about the TC in Caltanissetta, the assessment tools to better evaluate the feedbacks of the participants, the organization of the next Training Courses and the preparation of the project outputs according to the TCs feedbacks. Moreover, the partnership had the opportunity to evaluate the work implemented so far and to set the next important steps of the project, also through a discussion on the internal evaluation and quality assurance of the project, on the results of the communication strategy and on the financial aspects of the project.
