The “Experiential Lab: Child Rights Programming and Nonviolent Community Development” project is funded with the support of the Erasmus + program of the European Union and promotes the professional development of youth workers in the field of child protection in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The project proposes an approach to youth work related to the protection and development of the child based on the rights of the child.
Through a non-formal, intercultural and creative learning process, the training course transmits participants knowledge and practical tools to undertake the analysis of the situation of the rights of the child and to design initiatives based on the community of reference, in order to respond to needs of the child through a specific approach, analytical steps and the logical design of an intervention framework.
General Objective:
Consolidate and support coherent approaches to unaccompanied migrant children, in the context of youth work and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
Specific Objective:
Encourage the ability of youth workers to guarantee the rights and protection of unaccompanied migrant children in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Main Results:
Provide youth workers from both EU and Mediterranean countries with knowledge, key skills and suitable tools related to programs on the Rights of the Child;
Intercultural understanding of various youth work experiences related to the protection and development of unaccompanied migrant children from both EU and Mediterranean countries;
Greater international cooperation and exchange of good practices between youth workers and various organizations from EU and Mediterranean countries.
Target groups:
Community leaders, educators, trainers, facilitators, young leaders, social workers, intercultural mediators who work with different groups of disadvantaged youth and children and carry out community-based activities.
