“Islanders Network” – Training staff meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus, 19 – 21 February 2019

The training staff meeting was implemeneted in Nicosia, Cyprus on 19 – 21 February 2019. The aim of this short-term intensive course was to test and co-define common learning outputs of the project.

The project is designed to support the fight against unemployment in islands and to develop new and dynamic tools for young people who live in EU islands, where tourism sector competitiveness is of imminent importance.

The project aims to equip the young people in EU islands with competences and employable tools related to entrepreneuship initiatives in the tourism sector. In parallel, the project proposes a job shadowing programme which allow young people to gain insight and experience via their interaction with key tourism stakeholders.

The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, Key Action 2 Strategic Partnerships in the field of youth, engaging partner organizations from Portugal, Cyprus, Estonia, Italy and Spain.
